Howl is Deltona High School's student-run literary arts magazine founded by Emerick-Brown during the 2013-14 school year while teaching English. In its first year alone, the staff/students interviewed 10 Pulitzer Prize winners, conducted Maya Angelou's last recorded interview which was accepted by the Library of Congress, edited/published poetry/fiction/non-fiction/art from around the world, wrote reviews for upcoming books, sponsored literary events, and even put out a print publication in addition to the website.
So feel free to peruse the archives of Splash of Red, but don't forget to check out the exciting work being done at Howl!
